  • 2007 Scholarship Program: Essay Contest Winners

    The SFP Section 2007 Scholarship Program is open to graduating high school seniors who plan to major in engineering, science or math. The applicants write a 500 word essay on the selected topic. This years selected topic is "Should the US establish a Moon Colony?". Winners were announced at the June 14th Awards Dinner Meeting in Los Angeles.     • 1st Prize: $500 Scholarship to Kimberly Skyles, Reseda High School Magnet.
    • 2nd Prize: $300 Scholarship to Seiya Tokunaga, Reseda High School Magnet.
    • 3rd Prize: $200 Scholarship to Julie Teng, Reseda High School Magnet.

  • AIAA Liquid Propulsion $1,000 Young Professional Award

    The Liquid Propulsion Technical Committee (LPTC) announces the $1,000 ~ Liquid Propulsion Young Professional Award presented to a Young Professional for early achievements in liquid propulsion and demonstrated potential for a successful career in the field. Selections will be announced in March 2007 and the award will be received at the Joint Propulsion Conference in July 2007. Completed applications must be submitted by November 30, 2006.
